MCC: Good morning Discovery! Thomas, that wakeup music was courtesy of your wife Consuela and your sons Sebastian and appropriately Daniel. Thomas Reiter: Good morning. Thanks alot for this beautiful music. It's a good reminder that there are people on Earth that are thinking of us, waiting for us and give us thanks and all that's needed to do this -- what we are doing. Thanks a lot. MCC: You're welcome. Discovery, your messages are onboard and they should be printing now. Commentator: This is Mission Control Houston. That's the official wakeup call for the STS-121 Discovery crew. That's the voice of Capcom Steve Swanson as he was greeting the onboard crew. That song 'Daniel' by Elton John played this morning in honor of European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Reiter. Those were some of his remarks this morning as well. On this day he will officially become an International Space Station crewmember. Once the Space Shuttle Discovery docks with the International Space Station and once Thomas Reiter officially transfers his custom fitted seat liner from the space shuttle and transfers it over to the Soyuz spacecraft that's docked to the International Space Station that will mark his official transition from the Discovery crew to the Expedition 13 crew where he will join Commander Pavel Vinogradov and NASA astronaut and Flight Engineer Jeff Williams for the remainder of their increment. He will also stay onboard and transition to the Expedition 14 crew when they arrive later this fall.
