S69-39558 (20 July 1969) --- Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. (left), Apollo 11 lunar module pilot, is seen deploying the Solar Wind Composition (SWC) experiment in this black and white reproduction taken from a telecast by the Apollo 11 lunar surface camera during lunar extravehicular activity (EVA). Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, commander, is next to the Lunar Module (LM) "Eagle". Astronaut Michael Collins, command module pilot, remained with Command and Service Modules (CSM) "Columbia" in lunar orbit while Armstrong and Aldrin made their historic landing and walk on the moon. The SWC is a composite of the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP).
