srb005.jpg --- Divers from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., work to recover a spent space shuttle Solid Rocket Booster, or SRB. In this view, seawater has been pumped out of the tank and divers are attaching towlines. NASA's SRB recovery ships, Liberty Star and Freedom Star, are dispatched into the western Atlantic after every space shuttle launch to find the spent rockets and tow them into port, where they are refurbished for reuse on subsequent shuttle launches.
