JSC2002-01451 --- This oblique view of the Neutral Buoyancy Lab, or NBL, shows the height of the pool above ground. The pool is 12.2 meters (40 feet) deep, half above ground and half below. In the foreground, below and to the left of the "Welcome to the NBL" banner, is a hyperbaric chamber that can be used in case emergency decompression sickness treatment becomes necessary. The NBL is at the Sonny Carter Training Center near Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
