NEEMO 12 crewmembers and the topside team

JSC2007-E-21810 (3 May 2007) --- NEEMO 12 crewmembers and the topside team for the 12th NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) project take a break from training to pose for a group photo. The group is preparing for the crew's May 7-18 stay aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Aquarius Underwater Laboratory, which is operated by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and located off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. Astronaut/aquanaut Heidemarie M. Stefanyshyn-Piper will lead the crew of four, which includes NASA astronaut/aquanaut Jose M. Hernandez, NASA flight surgeon Josef F. Schmid and Dr. Timothy J. Broderick of the University of Cincinnati.
