high res (0.3 M) low res (23 K)
STS101-701-015 (19-29 May 2000)--- Approximately every hour-and-half of the STS-101 mission, crew members could view the Sun either setting or rising, but few sunsets or sunrises compared with this 70mm image of the rising Sun. Part of the vertical stabilizer of the Space Shuttle Atlantis can be seen at bottom right.
