STS-103 Shuttle Mission Imagery

S103-E-5450 (26 December 1999) --- The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is about to be in the grasp of Discovery's remote manipulator system (RMS) robot arm just prior to its release on December 26, 1999. The STS-103 astronauts had performed three space walks to service the giant telescope. The photo was taken with an electronic still camera (ESC).
