S99-08664 (24 May 1999) --- Astronaut John M. Grunsfeld, mission specialist, prepares to use the shuttle escape pole during emergency bailout training in JSC's Systems Integration Facility. Wearing a training version of the launch and entry garment, Grunsfeld was joined by the majority of his STS-103 crewmates for this training session, which took place in the Crew Compartment Trainer (CCT).
