Hobaugh, seated at the Spacecraft Communicator (CAPCOM) console in the Shuttle Flight Control Room of the Johnson Space Center's Mission Control Center, gives a thumbs up signal, obviously connected to improving weather at the launch site for the Space Shuttle Columbia several hundred miles away in Florida.
