STS-113 Shuttle Mission Imagery

JSC2002-E-47579 (23 November 2002) --- From the left (clockwise), Flight Director LeRoy Cain; astronaut Stephen N. Frick, spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM) for weather issues; astronaut Kent V. Rominger, deputy director of Flight Crew Operations; Robbie D. Gest with United Space Alliance (USA); and Robert E. Castle of Flight Directors Office are pictured in the shuttle flight control room (WFCR) in Houston’s Mission Control Center (MCC). At the time this photo was taken the Space Shuttle Endeavour was about to launch at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Endeavour launched at 6:50 p.m. (CST) on November 23, 2002. Once the vehicle cleared the tower in Florida, the Houston-based team of flight controllers took over the ground control of the STS-113 mission.
