high res (0.9 M) low res (83 K)
ISS011-E-11238 (28 July 2005) --- One of a series of photographs showing the Space Shuttle Discovery as taken from aboard the International Space Station during rendezvous and docking operations. The Italian-built Raffaello Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM) is visible in the Shuttle’s cargo bay. A docked Soyuz spacecraft, the Station’s Canadarm2 and Quest Airlock are also visible. A blue and white Earth and the blackness of space provide the backdrop for the image.
