STS-114 Shuttle Mission Imagery

JSC2002-00890 (26 April 2002) --- With the assistance of a training staff member, astronaut Soichi Noguchi fastens his seat restraints during a rehearsal of procedures to follow during ascent and entry on board the Shuttle Mission Simulator (SMS) in the Jake Garn Simulation and Training Facility at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The STS-114 mission specialist's seat is a temporary station deployed just aft of the pilot's station on the flight deck. Noguchi represents Japan’s National Space Development Agency (NASDA).
