STS-114 Shuttle Mission Imagery

JSC2004-E-00049 (7 January 2004) --- Astronaut Wendy B. Lawrence (left), STS-114 mission specialist, participates in a training session in the virtual reality lab at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). This type of computer interface paired with virtual reality training hardware and software helps to prepare the entire team for dealing with shuttle and station elements. Leah Steinocher (seated right), SSRMS mission designer with Barrios Technology, assisted Lawrence. Slava Ivanov and Stephanie Sipila, both SSRMS trainers are visible in the background.
