JSC2005-E-19236 (11 May 2005) --- Astronaut Joseph R. (Joe) Tanner, STS-115 mission specialist, attired in a training version of the shuttle launch and entry suit, simulates an ejection from a troubled shuttle into a body of water during an emergency bailout training session in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) near the Johnson Space Center. Support divers were on hand in the deep pool to assist with the survival training.
