Tanner (top center), STS-115 mission specialist, works near the Solar Alpha Rotary Joint (SARJ) during the Sept. 12 spacewalk, which he shared with astronaut Heidemarie M. Stefanyshyn-Piper (out of frame). The two participated in the first of three scheduled STS-115 extravehicular activity (EVA) sessions as the Atlantis astronauts and the Expedition 13 crew members join efforts this week to resume construction of the International Space Station.
