high res (1.6 M) low res (83 K)
JSC2006-E-54657 (20 Dec. 2006) --- Astronauts Clayton C. Anderson (foreground), Expedition 15 flight engineer, and Charles O. Hobaugh, STS-118 pilot, use the virtual reality lab at the Johnson Space Center to train for their duties aboard the space shuttle and station. This type of computer interface, paired with virtual reality training hardware and software, helps to prepare the entire team for dealing with space station elements. Anderson will join Expedition 15 as flight engineer after launching to the station aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour on mission STS-118.
