STS-121 Shuttle Mission Imagery

JSC2006-E-26031 (4 July 2006) --- In the Shuttle (White) Flight Control Room of Houston's Mission Control Center (MCC), flight directors Steve Stich (center frame) and Norm Knight (partially visible, foreground) monitor conditions a few hundred miles away in Florida, site of Discovery's scheduled STS-121 launch. Stich is ascent flight director and Knight serves that position for the Orbit 2 team. The third STS-121 launch attempt proved successful around 2:38 p.m. (EDT) on July 4.
