JSC2011-E-063848 12 July 2011) --- Inside the space shuttle flight control room at the NASA Johnson Space Center's Mission Control Center, NASA astronaut Shannon Lucid, STS-135 planning shift CAPCOM, converses with personnel (out of frame) at the nearby flight director's console during the July 12 spacewalk of NASA astronauts Mike Fossum and Ron Garan. Serving as the voice for managers and flight controllers supporting the space bound astronauts, Lucid's history at the Johnson Space Center dates back to the late 70s.
