STS082-E-5014 Space Shuttle Discovery's Remote Manipulator System (RMS) gets a preliminary workout in preparation for a busy work load later in the week. The STS-82 crew members are preparing for a scheduled rendezvous with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), which will be pulled into Discovery's cargo bay with the aid of the RMS. A series of spacewalks will be required to properly service the giant telescope.
