STS-95 Shuttle Mission Imagery

high res (0.6 M) low res (304 K)
S98-01949 (17 Feb. 1998) --- U.S. Senator John H. Glenn Jr., (D.-Ohio) is about ready to don his helmet during a suit fit check at the flight equipment processing lab for NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC). Boeing's Lloyd Armintor (right foreground) and Lockheed's Carlous Gillis (second left) assist Glenn while astronaut Scott E. Parazynski looks on. The fitting represents the first interface with the partial pressure launch and entry suit since Glenn was named as a crew member aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery on STS-95. Parazynski has been assigned as a mission specialist for that flight.
