STS-96 Shuttle Mission Imagery

high res (2.9 M) low res (110 K)
S99-00591 (01-08-99) --- Astronauts Rick D. Husband (left), pilot, and Daniel T. Barry, mission specialist, look toward a STS-96 crew mate (out of frame, right) who is simulating a parachute drop from a troubled shuttle. Husband and Barry had earlier "parachuted" into the deep pool at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) and quickly deployed their rafts. A SCUBA-equipped diver, who supported the emergency bailout training exercises, looks on at left.
