S99-00987 (01-15-99) --- Astronaut Tamara E. Jernigan, mission specialist, has completed donning her training version of the extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) space suit and prepares to be submerged to a neutrally buoyant-state during an underwater simulation of a space walk scheduled for the STS-96 mission later this year. Jernigan was joined by astronaut Daniel T. Barry (out of frame) for the simulation, conducted in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL).
