Cockrell, STS-98 mission commander, participates in emergency bailout training in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) near the Johnson Space Center (JSC). A diver assists Cockrell as he simulates a parachute drop into a body of water. Moments later, Cockrell deployed a life raft and began to signal for "rescue." |
