S98-04126 (May 28, 1998) --- Astronaut Bill Shepherd, commander of the first crew that will live aboard the International Space Station, exits a mock Soyuz spacecraft during Soyuz winter survival training in March 1998 near Star City, Russia. Shepherd's crew includes Soyuz Commander Yuri Gidzenko and Flight Engineer Sergei Krikalev, both from Russia.
