JSC2006-E-40788 (20 Sept. 2006) --- Daria Lopez-Alegria and her son Nicolas Lopez-Alegria watch live TV of husband and father Michael E. Lopez-Alegria as his crew docks to the International Space Station. The commander's family joined others in the Mission Control Center outside Moscow. The Expedition 14 crew arrived at the orbital outpost on September 20, 2006. A Soyuz TMA-9 spacecraft lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan Sept. 18, 2006, with astronaut Lopez-Alegria, Expedition 14 commander and NASA ISS science officer; cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin, Soyuz commander and Expedition 14 flight engineer; and American businesswoman Anousheh Ansari, who will spend nine days on the station under a commercial agreement with the Russian Federal Space Agency.
