Lopez-Alegria, Expedition 14 commander and NASA ISS science officer, uses his hand to shade his eyes while seated in a chair in front of the Soyuz TMA-9 spacecraft at the landing site. Landing and recovery officials were conducting post-landing medical checks on the crew.
