International Space Station Imagery

JSC2007-E-18922 (17 April 2007) --- Cosmonaut Yuri I. Malenchenko, Expedition 16 flight engineer representing Russia's Federal Space Agency; and astronaut Peggy A. Whitson (partially obscured), commander, are about to be submerged in the waters of the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) near Johnson Space Center. Whitson and Malenchenko are attired in training versions of the Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) space suit. Divers (out of frame) are in the water to assist the crewmembers in their rehearsal, intended to help prepare them for work on the exterior of the International Space Station.
