ISS018-E-005010 (23 Oct. 2008) --- Backdropped by the blackness of space, the Soyuz TMA-12 spacecraft departs from the International Space Station carrying cosmonauts Sergei Volkov and Oleg Kononenko, Expedition 17 commander and flight engineer, respectively; and American spaceflight participant Richard Garriott. Undocking occurred at 7:16 p.m. (CDT) on Oct. 23, 2008.
