JSC2008-E-004140 (15 Jan. 2008) --- With astronaut Sandra Magnus, Expedition 17 flight engineer, looking on, San Ko, South Korean spaceflight participant, greets news media during a Jan. 15, 2008 press conference at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The spaceflight participant will launch on the Soyuz TMA-12 spacecraft April 8 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome under a commercial agreement between the South Korean government and Roscosmos for nine days on the ISS. He is scheduled to return to Earth April 19 with astronaut Peggy Whitson and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, commander and flight engineer, respectively, for Expedition 16. [So-yeon Yi has been named to replace San Ko as South Korea's first astronaut, it was announced March 10.]
