JSC2008-E-004163 (15 Jan. 2008) --- San Ko, South Korean spaceflight participant, greets news media representatives during a Jan. 15, 2008 press conference at the NASA Johnson Space Center. He will launch on the Soyuz TMA-12 spacecraft April 8 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome under a commercial agreement between the South Korean government and Roscosmos for nine days on the ISS; San is scheduled to return to Earth April 19 with astronaut Peggy Whitson and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, commander and flight engineer, respectively, for Expedition 16. [So-yeon Yi has been named to replace San Ko as South Korea's first astronaut, it was announced March 10.]
