JSC2008-E-004186 (15 Jan. 2008) --- San Ko, South Korean spaceflight participant, responds to a question during a Jan. 15, 2008 press conference at the NASA Johnson Space Center. He will launch on the Soyuz TMA-12 spacecraft April 8 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome under a commercial agreement between the South Korean government and Roscosmos for nine days on the ISS. The spaceflight participant is scheduled to return to Earth April 19 with astronaut Peggy Whitson and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, commander and flight engineer, respectively, for Expedition 16. [So-yeon Yi has been named to replace San Ko as South Korea's first astronaut, it was announced March 10.]
