JSC2010-E-089914 (5 June 2010) --- Three prime crew members and their backups for Expedition 24 participate in the traditional flag raising ceremony at the Cosmonaut Hotel, Baikonur, Kazakhstan. At left, NASA astronauts Doug Wheelock and Shannon Walker, prime crew flight engineers, hoist the American flag, while at center, Russian cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin, Soyuz commander, and his backup Dmitry Kondratyev raise the Russian flag; and ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli and NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, backup flight engineers, raise the flag of Kazakhstan. Yurchikhin, Wheelock and Walker are scheduled to launch June 15 in the Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft from Baikonur bound for the International Space Station. Photo credit: NASA/Victor Zelentsov
