Ford, along with Soyuz Commander Oleg Novitskiy and Flight Engineer Evgeny Tarelkin, flew to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for final preparations for their launch to the International Space Station scheduled for Oct. 23 in their Soyuz TMA-6M spacecraft. Padalka, Revin and Acaba, who returned to Earth in their Soyuz spacecraft Sept. 17 after four months in space, attended welcome home ceremonies at the Training Center following the departure of Ford, Novitskiy and Tarelkin for Baikonur.
