JSC2012-E-241582 (9 Dec. 2012) --- Outside their Cosmonaut Hotel crew quarters in Baikonur, Kazakhstan Dec. 9, 2012, the Expedition 34 backup and prime crew members are attentive during remarks accompanying traditional flag-raising ceremonies. From left to right are backup crew members Karen Nyberg of NASA, Fyodor Yurchikhin and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency, and prime crew members Flight Engineer Tom Marshburn of NASA, Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency and Soyuz Commander Roman Romanenko. Marshburn, Hadfield and Romanenko are scheduled to launch Dec. 19 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in their Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft for a five-month mission on the International Space Station.
