Prime and Backup Expedition 38/39 Crew Members

JSC2013-E-091789 (3 Nov. 2013) --- In the Integration Facility at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the prime and backup Expedition 38/39 crew members pose for pictures in front of the first stage of the Soyuz rocket Nov. 3 as they enter the homestretch of their preparations for launch. From left to right are backup crew members Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency and Max Suraev of Roscosmos, prime crew members Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Soyuz Commander Mikhail Tyurin and Flight Engineer Rick Mastracchio of NASA and backup crew member Reid Wiseman of NASA. Tyurin, Mastracchio and Wakata are scheduled to launch Nov. 7, Kazakh time, on the Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft for a six-month mission on the International Space Station.
