This wide image shows a portion of drought-stricken southern California, including the urban sprawl of San Bernardino and Riverside, the agricultural development of the Imperial Valley and the Salton Sea sporting a huge swirl, speculated to be an algal bloom. The coastal region is obscured by fog. |
