ISS007-E-17762 (20 October 2003) --- Two days after launching from Kazakhstan, astronaut C. Michael Foale, American commander and NASA ISS science officer, arrives onboard the International Space Station. Foale and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri, flight engineer and Soyuz commander representing Rosaviakosmos, proceeded to begin over a week's worth of handover activities with the Expedition 7 crewmembers in order to familiarize themselves with Station systems and procedures.
