JSC2003-E-59067 (14 October 2003) --- The flags of the United States, Russia, Spain and Kazakhstan fly outside the Cosmonaut Hotel after astronauts and cosmonauts in a traditional pre-launch ritual prior to the launch scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2003, of the Soyuz TMA-3 vehicle to the International Space Station (ISS) raised them. The Soyuz will carry astronaut C. Michael Foale, Expedition 8 mission commander and NASA ISS science officer; cosmonaut Alexander Y.
