JSC2006-E-17292 (29 April 2006) --- With the midnight sun behind them, NASA engineers Tim Cooper, John Scoggins and Brian Derkowski erect the spud tube and bottom hole assembly of the planetary drill prototype being tested in the Canadian Arctic. The drill is under development at Johnson Space Center. Axel Heiberg Island can be seen in the distance.
