JSC2006-E-17294 (29 April 2006) --- Core samples like the one being held by Jeff George, far right, manager of JSC’s Planetary Drill Project, will be used to study the geology and biology of Canada’s Arctic tundra. The sample was gathered by a futuristic planetary drill field tested by JSC engineers in Canada’s Nunavut province.
