high res (2.0 M) low res (89 K)
JSC2007-E-14571 (21 March 2007) --- Human factors expert Richard Morency monitors a motion analysis system during an extravehicular activity (EVA) systems engineering and integration (SE&I) test in the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility at Johnson Space Center. The white dots correspond to sensors attached to the suit in key places and are used to create computer models of the movement. Data collected in the test will be used in development of the next generation of space suits that are being designed for use in the Constellation Program. Brian Daniel, attired in a Mark III advanced space suit technology demonstrator, is visible in the background.
