 Oct. 7, 2002 --- For the first time, a camera mounted to the space shuttle's External Tank offered a view of the ride to orbit. In this video, the first 90 seconds of ascent show Space Shuttle Atlantis' nose and belly, with one Solid Rocket Booster on the extreme left of the frame.

 April 8, 2002 --- The STS-110 astronauts depart their crew quarters in the Launch Control Center at the Kennedy Space Center, Fla., and board the Astrovan for a ride to the launchpad. Commander Mike Bloomfield, Pilot Steve Frick and Mission Specialists Rex Walheim, Ellen Ochoa, Lee Morin, Jerry Ross and Steve Smith launched aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis on April 8, 2002 at 3:44 p.m. CDT (2044 GMT) for an 11-day International Space Station assembly mission.

 April 8, 2002 --- Space Shuttle Atlantis launches from Kennedy Space Center, Fla., on April 8, 2002 at 3:44 p.m. CDT (2044 GMT) at the beginning of an 11-day International Space Station assembly mission. In this video, a simultaneous view shows four crewmembers on the flight deck -- Commander Mike Bloomfield, Pilot Steve Frick and Mission Specialists Rex Walheim and Ellen Ochoa. Not shown are Lee Morin, Jerry Ross and Steve Smith, who were seated on the shuttle's middeck.

 December 5, 2001 --- This is a video of the launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour for STS-108, a mission to the International Space Station. This video tracks the orbiter from ignition through approximately the first minute of flight. While at the station, STS-108 will deliver the Expedition Four crew -- Commander Yuri Onufrienko and Flight Engineers Carl Walz and Dan Bursch -- and return the Expedition Three crew, consisting of Commander Frank Culbertson, Pilot Vladimir Dezhurov and Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin.
