 March 7, 2002 -- Mission Specialist Jim Newman works from the end of Space Shuttle Columbia's robot arm during the fourth space walk of STS-109. He opens the aft shroud doors of the Hubble Space Telescope in order to disconnect the observatory's Faint Object Camera, which will be replaced later by the Advanced Camera for Surveys. Meanwhile, Mission Specialist Mike Massimino retrieves an electrical harness that will be used in the installation of an experimental cooling system onto the telescope’s Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer.

 March 7, 2002 -- During STS-109's fourth space walk, Mission Specialist Mike Massimino is carried by Space Shuttle Columbia's robot arm to the Hubble Space Telescope while carrying the Electronics Support Module. This component will provide power for the Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer's Cryogenic Cooler, which will be installed on the mission's next EVA.
