Thomas on Mir Safety

Andy Thomas was the seventh and last U.S. Mir astronaut. In his Oral History, he comments on the safety of Mir.

"All the time I was on that vehicle, I felt safe," he says. "I never felt threatened. I thought it was a fascinating way to spend four and a half months, and I never felt any sense of impending danger or any problem like that."
