JSC2004-E-21949 (6 May 2004) --- Administrator Sean O'Keefe, pictured with NASA's three new educator astronaut candidates, welcomes Robert L. (Bobby) Satcher Jr., a mission specialist candidate, onstage during the formal introduction of the 2004 class of astronauts. One of Satcher's childhood portraits is displayed on a large screen in the background. The introductions were part of the Space Day celebration at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va. Standing at right are, from the left, Joseph M. (Joe) Acaba, Dorothy M. (Dottie) Metcalf-Lindenburger and Richard R. (Ricky) Arnold II. They were joined by the rest of the class, with the exception of one member who was in Europe at the time. Photo credit: NASA/Renee Bouchard
