high res (1.5 M) low res (107 K)
STS108-E-5146 (7 December 2001) --- Shortly after the Space Shuttle Endeavour docked with the International Space Station (ISS), astronauts and cosmonauts aboard the two vehicles reunited in the Destiny laboratory. Several unidentified crew members (partially out of frame) aim various kinds of cameras at astronaut Frank L. Culbertson, Jr., Expedition Three commander, as he prepares to continue a station tradition by handing out souvenir shirts from the soon-to-depart station team. Cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin (left), Expedition Three flight engineer; and astronaut Mark E. Kelly (second left), STS-108 pilot, look on. Hovering above are astronauts Carl E. Walz (in shadowed area, upper left); Expedition Four flight engineer; and Daniel M. Tani, STS-108 mission specialist. The image was taken with a digital still camera.
