S98-04736 (6 April 1998) --- Astronaut Franklin R. Chang-Diaz, STS-91 mission specialist, equipped with parachute and other gear, is preparing for the start of an emergency bailout training session at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The STS-91 mission specialist, joined by other crew members of the scheduled June 1998 flight, will be lowered from an elevated point into a nearby pool to simulate parachute decent following egress from a troubled craft over water.
