S98-04750 (6 April 1998) --- Attired in a training version of the shuttle launch and entry garment, astronaut Janet L. Kavandi is assisted by a diver during an emergency bailout training session at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The STS-91 mission specialist, joined the majority of the STS-91 crew members recently for the bailout and water survival training session on the surface of a deep pool in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) at JSC's Sonny Carter Training Center.
