STS-97 Shuttle Mission Imagery

JSC2000-07076 (23 October 2000)--- Astronauts Joseph R. Tanner (left) and Marc Garneau utilize the water of the giant Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) to rehearse one of the scheduled space walks to make additions to the International Space Station (ISS). Astronaut Carlos I. Noriega (out of frame) has been assigned as a prime EVA participant along with Tanner. Garneau, who represents the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), is a backup EVA member. The five-man STS-97 crew in early December will deliver the P6 Integrated Truss Segment, which includes the first US Solar arrays and a power distribution system.
