SL2-X2-157 (June 1973) --- This photograph shows astronaut activity under zero-gravity conditions aboard the Skylab 1 & 2 space station in Earth orbit. Scientist-astronaut Joseph P. Kerwin, Skylab 2 science pilot and a doctor of medicine, gives an oral physical examination to astronaut Charles Conrad Jr., Skylab 2 commander. They are in the crew quarters wardroom of the Orbital Workshop (OWS). Conrad almost literally stands on his head in the weightlessness of space with only a restraint around his left leg holding him in position. Note the floating piece of paper at right. This picture was taken by astronaut Paul J. Weitz, Skylab 2 pilot, the third member of the crew. Photo credit: NASA
